Restaurant bar Coral
This is the name of a singular beach near Viana do Castelo. It was formed after building the North breakwater protecting the entrance of the harbour. Before of that, this place is a largest space of rocks named "Gamboas", where the fishermen catch in low water, little fish, poulpe, mussel and other kinds of shellfish, carried during the high tide.
Because of the structures made in the harbour, a great quantity of sand retired from the river Lima to open the chanel to the New Harbour was deposited over this rocks made the first part of the beach.
